REAL MYSTERY SHOPPERS

I recv’d a check for a mystery shopping job that I signed up for. The check was for a large amount of money

so, b4 i deposited it, i had my bank verify it. They did & told me it was a good check. The next day, I found out I had to have the cash in hand to work with so, I went back to the bank to w/draw it. I got the money, done what my assignment told me to do and the day after that, my bank notifies me that it was a bad check after all so, to get their money back, they wiped out my checking and savings and told me that I still owe them money. How can this be if they told me in the beginning it was a good check? Do I stand any chance if I was to try and sue them? I need any advice I can get! Thanks.
